Tamil Canadian Cricket Association’s15-Overs Softball Cricket League
Rules & Regulations
League Structure
Number of Teams:
The league will consist of [X] teams.
Match Format:
Each team will play a 15-over innings.
Points System

Playoffs:
The top [x] teams based on the points table will advance to the knockout stages.
Player Eligibility
Registration:
All players must be registered with TCCA and provide necessary documentation. (Please check our website to become a TCCA Member)
Registration is done through an online form on the league website.
Each team can register unlimited players throughout the season.
Dress Code:
Proper cricket attire must be worn (team colors and numbered jerseys).
Match Regulations
Match Duration:
Each innings will be capped at 15 overs or 1 hour (whichever comes first).
A 10-minute break will be allowed between innings.
Overs Per Bowler:
A maximum of 3 overs per bowler.
Power play:
The first 4 overs of each innings will be a power play, allowing only 2 fielders outside the 30-yard circle.
No-Ball:
A no-ball will result in a free hit for the batting team.
Ground & Equipment
Ground:
Matches will be played on high-quality grounds.
Ball:
TCCA-approved softball will be used for all matches.
Boundary Size:
Boundary size will be the standard size depending on the venue.
Umpiring & Scoring
Umpires:
All umpires will be professionally trained and provided by TCCA.
Decisions:
Umpire decisions are final.
Scoring:
Electronic scoring will be implemented; each team must ensure a scorer is present.
Code of Conduct
Sportsmanship:
Players are expected to uphold the spirit of cricket.
Penalties:
Verbal abuse, unsporting behavior, or dissent towards umpires may result in penalties or match suspensions.
Physical altercations will result in immediate disqualification from the tournament.
Disputes:
Any disputes must be raised through the team captain to the TCCA Tournament Committee.

Regular performance reviews and recognition for emerging talents will be emphasized.

Weather & Cancellations
Rain Delays:
Matches affected by rain will follow the Duckworth-Lewis method.
Cancellations:
Matches canceled due to extreme weather will be rainout.
Rematch:
Only when TCCA cannot conduct the games due to any ground issues or other related reasons, the matches will be rescheduled.
Entry Fees & Prizes
Team Entry Fee:
All participating teams must pay the entry fee in full or through 3 installment payments.
Prize Money:
Prize distribution will include a cash prize for winners, runners-up, and individual player awards.
Miscellaneous
Alcohol & Substance Use:
No alcohol or illicit substances are allowed at the venues.
Spectators:
All matches are open for spectators. Teams are responsible for the behavior of their supporters.
Additional League Rules
Schedule Change Requests:
Requests for a schedule change must be made at least 2 weeks in advance, unless it is an emergency situation.
The request will be considered based on the conflict and situation, and the decision will be made at the management's discretion.
Off Day Requests:
Players must submit requests for off days before the deadline.
A player may request a maximum of 2 off days during the season.
Requests should be submitted well in advance to avoid scheduling conflicts.
Protests:
Protests must be filed within 24 hours of a regular game, with a $200 fee paid before filing.
Playoff protests must be filed within 2 hours. ($200 fee)
Player Transfers:
Players may transfer to a new team before july 16,2025.
All player transfers, including new player registrations, must be completed by Wednesdays. A $50 fee applies to each player transfer.
When a player transfers their individual stats will get transferred.
Transfer requests can be completed via email request only.
Walkover Fee:
If a team fails to show up on game day and forfeits (walkover), there will be a $60 charge, which covers the umpire fee.
Team Structure and Player Seeding:
Structure of divisions, player seeding and committee involvements will be an additional responsibility of TCCA’s T15 League for 2026.
